Many years ago, a man of God was born (one of 7) to the late Rev. Tommie & Marlene Childress in Houston, Texas. He accepted his calling into the ministry at an early age. Wanting to learn more, he began his quest for more revelation knowledge of God by moving his wife of 30 something years,
1st Lady Apostle Jeanette Childress and their children (7 paternal, many adopted) to a small town called Marshall, Texas to attend college. One of their beloved daughters, Shantocqua Na’Kym Childress-Majors has preceded them in going on to glory. In this period of residing in Marshall, he has ministered to many churches as well as witnessing and street ministry. God has given him a vision of many people of every race, denomination and background, all worshipping together on one accord not worrying about anything but winning souls to Christ. Stepping out on faith, they started their ministry, Childress Deliverance Temple Ministries, Inc., named in memory of his father with the church motto; “Love Has No Color” and just celebrated 20 years of ministry.

God has blessed the ministry to grow from one to over thousands including 37 covenant partner churches is such areas as Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas, Illinois, Georgia, the Bahamas and many more. Under his tutelage, he has 12 Bishops, over 20 Elders and over 30 Ministers stationed at the headquarters church. This real man of God, after God’s own heart whose passion is winning the souls of international, interracial and interdenominational to Christ. He walks in the five fold gifts of the Spirit and speaks prophetically under the anointing of the Holy Spirit. Not only does he walk what he preaches, but demonstrates it through his daily living.

He is known for his prophesy, healing ministry, miracles, casting out devils, deliverance ministry, love for others as well a deep revelation knowledge of the Word of God. He is also acknowledged for his outstanding sermons with titles such as, “All is Well and the devil is Still Defeated”, “Can You Hang With Me”, “My Baby Leaped”, “I’m Stilled Blessed” and many more. He is in the process of writing two books as well as establishing a radio and television ministry worldwide. He has a jail and prison ministry, helps ministry, youth outreach ministry, crisis care and substance abuse recovery ministry, mental illness ministry and many other outreach ministries to come. Apostle Childress envisions traveling to Africa and Trinidad as well as all over the world to win souls for Christ. Under the anointing of the Holy Spirit, he speaks in parables, making what he says have more than one meaning. His ministry is based on love, faith and family. He holds a great love for his wife, children and their spouses, grandchildren, mother, sisters and brothers. They all mean a lot to him and are a great support to him in ministry. This man of God stands, moves, speaks and lives by faith.
